Riding Ready Foundations

Understanding Balance, Movement and the Rider’s Role in the Saddle

Course Summary

Riding Ready Foundations introduces the principles that underpin balanced, effective riding.

This free course explains how riding is broken down using sports analysis and biomechanics, and why balance is not a fixed position but an ongoing process of organisation and adaptation. Riders are guided through the key foundations of understanding, body awareness, physical ability, integration and problem solving, helping them make sense of common riding cues and recurring problems.

Rather than offering exercises or quick fixes, Foundations provides clarity -  giving riders the tools to understand what their body is doing, why certain issues keep appearing, and how to approach improvement in a structured, informed way.

This course forms the base for the Riding Ready approach and prepares riders to get the most out of the Position, Movement, Body and Help modules.
